Stephen Luo, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), has been instrumental in shaping the success of Jingtian and Gongcheng LLP (JTHK) since its inception in 2018. Stephen joined the Hong Kong office in 2018 and his technical expertise and business acumen have propelled the firm to become a leading player in Hong Kong's capital markets. His leadership has seen the firm grow from a startup to a team of over 70 experts, handling high-profile deals and representing over 30 publicly listed companies, including Air China Limited and Longfor Group Holding Limited.

Luo's dynamic approach and tenacity have earned him widespread recognition, with his role in the share swap of AVIC Avionics Systems for AVIC Electromechanical Systems being awarded Deal of the Year 2022. His leadership extends beyond his professional role, as he has been instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment at JTHK, leading to the firm's Hong Kong office being honored with the new Asian office awards at the Asia legal awards in 2020.

Beyond his work, Luo is committed to elevating the legal sector through his support for legal education. He has lectured at Fudan University, founded internship programs for law students at JTHK, and actively fundraises for the Faculty of Law at HKU and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His contributions have been lauded by peers and clients alike, with Liu Hao, Company Secretary & Head of Legal of Xiaomi Corporation, describing him as one of the best young lawyers in corporate finance.
