Areas of focus such as consent, reasonable precautions, due diligence and exemptions would be covered.   • This session would explore the role of counsel on specific legal and evidentiary aspects of disputes and the differences between the expectation of corporate client and what counsel could realistically offer. The scope would cover multinational dispute resolution starting from drafting documents to winning cases. Areas of focus such as litigation forum, choice of law, establishing jurisdiction and service of proceedings, challenging jurisdiction, managing parallel jurisdiction, interlocutory proceedings etc. would be covered.

Risk management in relation to IP rights and disputes would be covered, such as species of rights and registration, trade name, domain name abuse, concept of territoriality, protecting non-registrable rights, preparing for disputes, productions of documents and protecting confidentiality etc.
