Joli Chan

The University of Hong Kong

I am Joli, a third-year BA & LLB student studying at the University of Hong Kong. I have been working hard to prepare myself in the legal industry. My previous internship experiences in law firms like Squire Patton Boggs and Kirkland & Ellis have developed my abilities to complete work in a meticulous and professional manner. At the same time, I partook extensively in extra-curricular activities and volunteer works which have honed my time management, problem solving and communication skills. Currently, I am the student adviser of the Faculty of Law. During the past years, I was the General Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Students’ Union. Activities were organized to foster youth participation in promoting community welfare. Furthermore, I organized and participated in the Bohol MACE Project and the University YMCA Fiji Cultural and Service Trip. I designed, planned and implemented workshops in Philippines and Fiji to improve the livelihood of local communities there. I hope that my previous experience can contribute to the LexisNexis student ambassador program and I believe that the program itself will be massively rewarding in terms of legal training, personal development and broadening of visions.
