Colin Mak

The University of Hong Kong

Hi! I’m Colin, a Year BBA(Law) & LLB student at the University of Hong Kong. I love reading, volunteering, and theatre. These interests have shaped who I am – performing theatre has boosted my confidence, volunteering is a meaningful opportunity to help others whilst learning more, and reading is a way to explore new ideas and worlds. Despite the academic workload, I have continued to pursue my interests through joining UNICEF Club at HKU’s Executive Committee, performing in a production of Shakespeare’s Taming in the Shrew, and reading novels including Jimmy Carter’s Reflections at Ninety, Jean Edward Smith’s insightful biographies on U.S. presidents, and Lee Child’s thrilling Jack Reacher series.

Academically, I enjoy the rational and deductive nature of legal studies, where one learns, researches, and ultimately applies the knowledge to a scenario. I am excited to learn more about law and legal research tools in my journey at LexisNexis and HKU.

Feel free to contact me at any time about LexisNexis or just for a quick chat. Looking forward to meeting you at our LexisNexis events!
