Herbert Cheng

Herbert is currently a final-year student of the Juris Doctor program at City University of Hong Kong (‘CityU’). Prior to pursuing legal studies, he obtained a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Comparative Literature at the University of Hong Kong. His legal interests include criminal law, criminal procedure and evidence, trial advocacy, and company law. Herbert has served as a marshal to judges at the Court of First Instance, and as mini-pupil to practising barristers. Outside the classroom, Herbert is an active performer on the stage and appears regularly in opera and musical theatre productions. Singing is his biggest hobby and source of stress-relief. Aside from being Student Ambassador for LexisNexis this academic year, he also works as a Research Assistant at CityU’s School of Law.
