Over the past 16 years, Haiyang has worked in multiple energy companies where he led the legal team for the power and infrastructure sectors. He has witnessed the quick-paced reforms of an in-house counsel’s role in China’s market and gained vast experience in legal work management, compliance management and corporate governance of Chinese energy enterprises.

Haiyang has been merging legal, compliance and risk-control work into key stages of every project. He has also led his team to create standardized legal work processes in M&A deals and in-house legal work management. These efforts have boosted the efficiency of in-house legal work and added value to the company. Apart from focusing on the legal aspects of a project, Haiyang also cares about the business strategy and commercial goals of the company. He actively collaborates with other teams in the company to seek the most efficient solutions for complex issues.

ALB China has named Haiyang in its 2021 Top 15 General Counsels in China market for his remarkable contribution to the legal community. Haiyang has been awarded the Winner in the energy and natural resources sectors for the CBLJ In-house Counsel Awards 2021-2022. In the academic area, Haiyang published an article about increasing legal work efficiency by leveraging project management tools in the China Business Law Journal in 2022. Haiyang is also a mentor at Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School.

ALB 中國將海陽評為 2021 年中國市場總法律顧問 15 強，以表彰其對法律界的卓越貢獻。海陽在 2021-2022 年 CBLJ 內部法律顧問獎中榮獲能源和自然資源領域的優勝者。在學術領域，海陽於2022年在《商法》雜誌上發表了一篇關於利用項目管理工具提高法律工作效率的文章。海陽也是浙江大學光華法學院的導師。
