Augustine has led a successful legal career in providing legal advice, policy drafting, legal research and teaching law. His contributions have benefitted Hong Kong and the international legal community at large.

In 2014, Augustine was seconded to the Hong Kong Government, and he simultaneously took up a senior directorate position in the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC). Between 2015 and 2017, Augustine's work at FSDC led to the publication of 7 important Government policy papers. Augustine's passion and work quality impressed the then FSDC Chairman, who requested to extend his secondment so that he could continue to work on policy implementation.

Augustine's interest in driving policy changes has never stopped. In his current role as the Head of Investment Banking Compliance in China International Capital Corporation (CICC), Augustine takes lead in pushing changes in securities law. He has played an important role in CICC’s global expansion and success in the past 1-2 years. CICC has clinched the top position in the size and number of IPO deals in Hong Kong from 2020 to 2021.

On the transaction side, Augustine leads a team of 14 lawyers and accountants in drafting and reviewing legal submissions. His team has handled some of the largest and most complex transactions Hong Kong has ever seen, including the single and dual listings of Alibaba and Xiaomi. Since 2021, CICC has established new offices in Japan and Germany. The firm has also expanded its offices in the US, UK and Singapore.

Augustine在法律諮詢、政策起草、法律研究和法律教學方面取得了成功。他的貢獻造福了香港和整個國際法律界。

2014年，Augustine被借調至香港政府，同時出任金融發展局（FSDC）高級董事職務。 2015 年至 2017 年間，他在 FSDC 的工作導致發表了 7 份重要的政府政策文件。 Augustine的熱情和工作質量給當時的金局（FSDC）主席留下了深刻印象，他要求延長借調期限，讓他繼續致力於政策的實施。

Augustine對推動政策變革的興趣從未停止過。 Augustine目前擔任中國國際金融股份有限公司（CICC）投資銀行合規負責人，帶頭推動證券法的變革。在過去的1-2年裡，他為中金公司的全球擴張和成功發揮了重要作用。 2020年至2021年，中金公司在香港IPO交易規模和數量均位居榜首。

在交易方面，Augustine帶領一個由 14 名律師和會計師組成的團隊起草和審查法律文件。他的團隊處理了一些香港有史以來規模最大、最複雜的交易，包括阿里巴巴和小米的單一和雙重上市。 2021年起，中金公司在日本、德國設立新辦事處。該公司還擴大了在美國、英國和新加坡的辦事處。
