Marcus Tan, a seasoned legal professional, began his journey in law after serving as a secretary to the Deputy Minister of Education of Malaysia. He pursued his Bachelor of Law from the University of London at Brickfields Asia College, Kuala Lumpur. His early career was marked by high-profile cases, including the infamous Batang Kali Massacre lawsuit against the British Government. In 2017, Marcus founded his own practice, Marcus Tan & Co, where he honed his skills in commercial and corporate advisory, particularly in fintech laws.

Marcus's leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in the firm's success, with a 25% increase in business revenue from 2021 to 2022. He has expanded the firm's footprint into East Malaysia, Cambodia, and China, establishing partnerships with international law firms. His vision is to make Kuala Lumpur a hub for multinational business operations, focusing on fintech players under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Marcus's contributions to the legal sector are significant. He advises on corporate finance, business restructuring, offshore transactions, and more. He has also been a speaker at major corporate and technology conferences and a visiting lecturer at Southern University College. Marcus's commitment to community service is evident in his role in the Audit and Risk Committee of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology and as a legal adviser for various community associations. His book, "Employment Handbook Plan & Design 2020-2021", has been a valuable resource for small-medium entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
