Karen Cheung, a highly accomplished solicitor, began her legal journey as a barrister 16 years ago. She quickly ascended the ranks, becoming a partner at Li & Partners, one of Hong Kong's largest local law firms, at 34. Today, she is the youngest partner at HFW's Hong Kong office, one of its two female partners, and the only working mother. Her exceptional work has earned her recognition in the Asian Legal Business (ALB) "Asia Super 50 Disputes Lawyers" list and as one of Hong Kong's 10 Most Influential Lawyers Under 40.

Cheung's career aspiration is to build a successful practice in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Her efforts have contributed to HFW being licensed to establish a representative office in Qianhai, making it one of only five foreign law firms permitted to do so by the Ministry of Justice, PRC. Cheung's leadership extends beyond her professional role. She founded the Greater Bay Area Union (GBAU) to create opportunities for Hong Kong elites in the GBA and inspire young lawyers, particularly working mothers.

Cheung is also an active contributor to the legal industry, participating in numerous panels and presentations, and serving as an arbitrator. She is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession.
