Available in a revamped looseleaf containing over 900 pages of updated content, Volume 1 includes Hong Kong's original annotation of the Rules of the High Court, updated to include all the new rules coming into force on 2 April 2009, with extensive commentary and relevant extracts from our sister publication in the UK, The Civil Court Practice, Editor-in-Chief Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury (House of Lords and non-permanent judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal). Because of the extensive revisions, Volume 1 will expand to 3 binders.

In Volume 2, the revised Rules of the District Court are accompanied by extensive commentary drawing from materials referred to in the revision of Halsbury's Laws of Hong Kong, the Final Report of the Chief Justice's Working Party on Civil Justice Reform (2004), Practice Directions, the English Civil Procedure Rules and reference cases. It will also incorporate the amendments to the primary legislation to implement Civil Justice Reform and updates the civil procedure legislation in the Work.
