Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group (APRAG)

On 2 November 2004 representatives of 17 arbitration centres and associations met in Sydney and established the Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group (APRAG). Membership of APRAG has since grown to 30 members. APRAG is a regional federation of arbitration associations which aims to improve standards and knowledge of international arbitration and will make submissions on behalf of the region to national and international organisations. This co-operation is unique and is a reflection of the growing importance of international arbitration in Asia and Australasia, the fastest growing economic area in the world. It also demonstrates the maturity and good will of the member organisations and their determination to further raise standards in, and improve the profile of, international arbitration in the region.


Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association

The Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association was established March 2003 as the pioneer association representing in-house lawyers in Hong Kong. The HKCCA provides an efficient and effective range of benefits and services for its members' professional development, including continuing legal education, a platform for networking and the exchange of ideas, information and experiences that are unique to the in-house role. It is the only association of in-house counsel run for in-house counsel by in-house counsel. Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre

HKIAC was established in 1985 to assist disputing parties to solve their disputes by arbitration and by other means of dispute resolution. It was established by a group of the leading business and professional people in Hong Kong to be the focus for Asia of dispute resolution. It has been generously funded by the business community and by the Hong Kong Government but it is totally independent of both and it is financially self sufficient.

HKIAC is a non-profit making company limited by guarantee. It operates under a Council composed of business and professional people of many different nationalities and with a wide diversity of skills and experience. Administration of HKIAC arbitration activities is conducted by the Council through the Centre's Secretary-General who is its chief executive and registrar.

 

Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association (HKISPA)

The Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association (HKISPA) was formed in November, 1996 with the following objectives:

1. Discussion Forum

Information Security and Forensics Society (ISFS)

Information Security and Forensics Society (ISFS) was established in May 2000.
