Intellectual property is one of the substantial practices of the Taipei Office. The Taipei Office is in a nexus of IP disputes. Taiwan is home jurisdiction to many global technology manufacturers and startups in semiconductors, computers, electronic contract manufacturing, IC design, and liquid crystal displays. U.S. and mainland China, being the largest two trading partners with Taiwan, are often jurisdictions in which IP disputes involving Taiwanese companies are adjudicated. Because of the Firm’s unique and unparalleled “One Firm Worldwide” platform, and the domestic and US-qualified legal talent it embraces, the Taipei office is instrumental in asserting and defending patents and IP rights in the US, Taiwan and mainland China, often working side-by-side with offices in other jurisdictions. As part of the Firm’s greater China practice, the Taipei office is an integral part of the fast-growing IP practice in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. Our fully integrated global IP practice has achieved the sharing and transferring of know-hows, talents, and experiences in IP among our offices in different jurisdictions to resolve any new challenges in these jurisdictions to best service our clients in the world.
