FRANCIS MOK
Group Human Resources Director, Jebsen & Co Ltd


Francis Mok is the Group Human Resources Director of Jebsen and Co. Ltd. He oversees all aspects of human resource management, human capital development, talent management and Corporate Social Responsibility of the Jebsen Group in Hong Kong and China.
Francis has over 25 years of experience in human resource development and line management.
Before joining Jebsen and Company, Francis was the Head of Training and Development for a sizable public transportation company. He led and facilitated a number of performance improvement, organizational development, talent management and cultural change projects. He also pioneered the launch of HR Balanced Scorecard in Hong Kong.
Francis champions projects in Corporate Social Responsibility and Leadership development both in Hong Kong and Greater China.
Francis is actively involved in improving the Human Capital in Hong Kong and is the Vice President of HKIHRM, Organizing Chairman of the HKIHRM Annual Conference and Chairman of the HKIHRM Training and Development Committee.
Francis holds a bachelor degree in Engineering and a Master degree in Business Administration.

 

SANDY FOK
GM, Staff Development, John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd


Sandy Fok is currently General Manager, Staff Development at Swire. She had almost 20 years of broad management experience in many business disciplines, including serving Cathay Holidays Ltd and Taikoo Sugar Ltd as Managing Director for 5 years, and prior to that senior managerial positions within the Properties and Trading Division of Swire.

Sandy participates actively in business and community affairs. Amongst the many responsibilities, she is Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and a member of the Hong Kong Management Association Training Award Committee. She was also an executive committee member of the Hong Kong Outbound Tour Operator Association between 2005 and 2006. She served the Convocation of the University of Hong Kong as a standing committee member between 2002 and 2004 and is currently the Chairman of the HKU Graduate House management Committee. She was also the Co-Chairperson of the Women in Business Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce between 2000 and 2002.

Sandy graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1988 and immediately joined Swire as Management Trainee. She majored in psychology and sociology.

 

WERNER KRIEGER
Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications, Henkel Asia-Pacific Ltd.


Werner Krieger has responsibility for the Strategy and Operations of Human Resources for the Henkel Group in Asia-Pacific. Henkel is a German-based multinational company and a leader in Home Care, Personal Care and Adhesives Technologies. Operating in over 75 countries, the company’s sales for year 2007 were over 13 billion euros. Previously, Werner held the position of Managing Director of Henkel China Investment Co. in Beijing. He has worked for the Henkel Group for over 30 years in locations across the continents. Prior to joining Henkel, Werner earned a Master Degree in Business Administration and a PhD in International Management from Cologne University, Germany.

Werner Krieger is a member of various HR networks and has been asked frequently in previous years to give presentations on HR challenges in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mrs. Elsie Hui is a strategic human resources business partner effective in supporting senior executives in addressing key business issues in people management and organizational development. She has all rounded HR experience gained from sizable multinational corporations like Cathay Pacific Airways and Ernst & Young.

She holds a Master of Management in Human Resources Management degree From Macquarie University with award for proficiency in Managerial Psychology, and attains a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong

JOHN NESHEIM

JOHN NESHEIMJohn Nesheim is currently Human Resources Director for 3M’s Asia Pacific area; a job scope that covers 150 HR professionals serving 13,000 employees in 15 countries representing 25% of 3M’s total revenue. John is no stranger to Asia, having spent 5 of his past 16 years at 3M living and working in China and Hong Kong. Before he joined 3M he also lived in Taiwan for 4 years. John has a strong background in HR with a Masters Degree in HR Development from the University of Minnesota in the US, as well as a career doing HR work in factories, laboratories, corporate offices and overseas subsidiaries. In terms of accomplishments, John has been instrumental in helping set up 3M’s Leadership Development Institute in the US, a state-of-the-art learning center in Shanghai and an enviable record of recruitment, retention and succession planning across Asia. Karen ZongKaren is the Director of People and Organization Capability for Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Karen was the Overseas People Director for Wal-Mart Global Procurement, leading the HR function for overseas procurement offices outside of the US. Before joining the corporate world, Karen worked for PDI in the US, HK and China for 5 years and was the Managing Director for PDI China. Karen started her career in the HR function of HSBC after getting her MBA. She also earned Master of Applied Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania.

ANDY YEOAndy Yeo is a partner of JSM in association with Mayer Brown. He has extensive experience in advising on issues involving employment, foreign direct investment, real estate, corporate finance, general corporate and commercial matters with particular emphasis on the PRC.

Andy counsels major companies operating in China on a wide range of human resource issues including drafting, special contract terms, termination agreements, dismissal, compensation, restrictive covenants, etc. and also assists them to arrange for and manage labour arbitration or litigation in China where required.

Andy frequently gives presentations on employment law in China.
